Since 1989, Proma has been opening new paths with every door it creates. We were born in Villacañas, Toledo, from the vision of 57 young founders who didn’t want to be just another factory, but a benchmark in quality and excellence. From the very beginning, our commitment has been clear: to transform spaces by blending artisanal craftsmanship with innovation.

A purposeful beginning: In 1989, 57 young people from Villacañas (Toledo) set out to create something different. With determination and the support of their community, they built—by hand—the factory that would become the heart of Proma. Since then, their vision has remained unchanged: to craft doors that endure, with quality, precision, and pride in a job well done.
The first door, the start of our legacy:
Our first major milestone was the wooden door—solid, functional, and high quality. It not only defined PROMA’s identity, but also marked the beginning of a project that would continue to grow, driven by the conviction of those who believed in its purpose from the start.

From its early days, PROMA led the way in creating space for women in an industry historically dominated by men. Women’s presence across all areas—from administration to production—still reflects our ongoing commitment to diversity, equity, and talent as engines of growth.
From Villacañas to the world:
What began in a small village in Toledo has expanded across borders. PROMA now exports its vision of quality and design to the UK, Ireland, Portugal, the Czech Republic, Iceland, the USA, Russia, China, and Japan. Every door we create carries the same spirit with which we started: excellence that transcends borders.
